My wife and I decided to buy a house after renting a two-bedroom apartment with no laundry or parking facilities for over five years. Our kids were getting older, our daughter 10 years old, and our son 9 years and they needed their privacy and there was not enough room for all of us. The rent was increased every year and no repairs were made to the apartment. With the help of Neighborhood Housing Services of the Lehigh Valley, with the Allentown Hoop Program
and their repayable loan in the amount of $13,625.00; and through the Community Partnership Program, a grant of $3,500.00 from the City of Allentown, we were able to buy a single detached property where my children, my wife, and myself are very happy living there.
I want to take the opportunity to thank NHS of the Lehigh Valley for the enormous support offered to our community with the programs for First Time Homebuyers, which allows people with medium and low income make their American dream come true, became homeowners.
