NHSLV was recently awarded a $20,000 Impact Grant from The Provident Foundation in support of its Home Ownership Outreach Program (HOOP).

Funding will be used for program costs associated with the Home Ownership Outreach Program (HOOP), financial fitness program, and related housing counseling and educational services.

HOOP provides down payment and closing cost assistance to low- and moderate-income families who are purchasing a home for the first time.

The financial fitness program provides classes to individuals who need guidance and education on topics including: developing a spending plan, understanding credit and your credit report, and getting a loan.

Housing counseling and education services are essential components for preparing households for home ownership and individuals for a healthy financial life by making clients more financially literate consumers and contributors to our community.

The Provident Bank Foundation was established by New Jersey’s oldest bank in 2003 to enhance the quality of life in the region through support of not-for-profit groups, institutions, schools and other organizations that provide services in communities served by Provident Bank. Since its founding, the Foundation has granted more than $19 million to not-for-profit organizations and institutions working toward stronger communities.
